About Carlton Barns
Carlton Barns has recently been converted by David and Denise from B & B accommodation into new two bedroom, self-catering accommodation. The accommodation is situated on a charming, peaceful village green, opposite the church, in the centre of the conservation village of Sandhutton, near Thirsk. The accommodation is attached to Carlton House, a former farmhouse dating back to the 1700’s.
Carlton Barns can accommodate two or four people and consists of two bedrooms; a master King-size double bedroom with bathroom and a twin room with ensuite bathroom that can be converted to a super king double. The bedrooms both lead into the contemporary country-style open plan kitchen/dining room which is perfect for cooking, relaxing or enjoying a good book.
It is perfectly located for touring the stunning countryside of the North Yorkshire Moors and Dales, which offer unlimited walking and touring opportunities. Discover the charms of local market towns (Thirsk, Ripon, Northallerton, Masham), castles, abbeys, museums, gardens and various National Trust and independently owned properties. Or visit York, Harrogate and Richmond for theatres, shopping and history. Whatever your interest there is plenty to do.
Carlton Barns is listed in Alastair Sawday’s Special Places.
